Right Click on the Program Files\CheckMate4Quicken folder and select Properties and Sharing. Click on Advanced Sharing and then Permissions. Then Set the Setting as shown here.

| To Use CheckMate with Windows XP or Vista |
Windows XP & Vista do not use the the CMQ Driver |
1) Install the Special Driver Click Here to Download Driver. Save the file to you desktop. Then double click on the file Port.reg to add the information to your registry. Then click ok.
2) After installing CheckMate and the Driver listed in step 1. Please use Add Printer to install a Generic/Text Only printer on to the port \Data\$CM4Q$.$$$. Use this printer from Quicken instead of the CheckMate 4 Quicken printer. |
| To Use CheckMate with NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 |
NT/2000 does not use the the CMQ Driver. |
After installing CheckMate. Please use Add Printer to install a Generic/Text Only printer
on to the port <folder CheckMate is
in>\Data\$CM4Q$.$$$.
Use this printer from quicken instead of the CheckMate 4 Quicken
printer. |

location information appear to the left of the check image. |
The display font size of the desktop is set to
Large fonts. |
Right click on the desktop. Select
Properties. Under the
Settings tab, ensure that the display fonts are
set to small fonts. (Depending on your display. This option may be
under the advanced button.) |

Nothing happens when I selectSetup->Configure
Printer From the Check Printer main menu.

The Default.cfg file has become corrupted or your printer was deleted .
|

Delete the default .cfg file.
|
|
Be careful not to delete default.ckt.
|
From the windows start menu select:
Start->Programs->StartUp, Right Click on ckprt
and select
Properties. Click on Find
Target select the file default.cfg
and Right Click on it and select Delete.
